The Dems’ New Age Of Civility Didn’t Last Long

Already, we have Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas) saying things like this:

“But even the title of their legislation, H.R. 2, ‘job-killing’ — this is killing Americans if we take this away, if we repeal this bill.”

I am sure NPR, CNN, ABC, MSNBC, NBC, and the NYT will all be outraged by such harsh rhetoric.

Yes, Jackson Lee is one of the dimmer bulbs in Congress; and yes, she has been saying dumb things for a long time.

But civility begins at home, folks.  Every time the left ignores such attacks by their own — as they did, say, between 2000 and 2010 — it further highlights the fact that their new respect for civility is just an attempt to de-legitimize the positions — not just the “tone” — of their political opponents.
