Now Biden’s In Charge

Last week, we had the spectacle of President Obama deferring to former President Clinton at a press conference defending the tax compromise deal Obama cut with Republicans.  Over the weekend, we learn that Vice President Joe Biden “is taking a more prominent and influential role” at the White House.

Lest we forget, Mr. Biden is the guy who proposed partitioning Iraq into three separate regions — Kurdish, Shiite and Sunni — back in 2006.  Biden is also the guy who, after the 9/11 attacks, came up with the idea of showing the Arab world that we’re not bent on its destruction by sending with “no strings attached, a check for $200 million to Iran,” which isn’t even an Arab country.  Biden also has a habit of rambling on and putting his foot in his mouth on just about any topic.

There is no question that we need some adult supervision in the White House.  I just don’t think Jumpin’ Joe Biden is the one to provide it.
