The NYT Is Worried About The Activisim Of Clarence Thomas’ Wife; Not So Worried About Activisim Of Actual Justices

Funny, I worry more about the activism of Ginsberg, Kagan, Breyer, and Sotomayor.  But that, of course, isn’t the kind of activism that concerns the NYT.

No, the NYT cannot possibly compete with Clarence Thomas on matters of judicial philosophy, so it has to “rais[e] knotty questions” regarding his wife’s involvement in conservative causes.

Memo to the NYT — Don’t pick a fight you cannot win.  If Mrs. Thomas has half her husband’s intellect — and he is too smart to be married to someone who isn’t his equal — this is a fight you cannot win.
