Does Tancredo Have A Chance Of Winning The Colorado Governor’s Race?

I would have said “no” not long ago.  In fact, I did!

But Michelle Malkin reports that the race remains closer than I predicted:

Democrat Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper has 46 percent of the vote.

Tancredo pulls 34 percent.

Republican Dan Maes trails with 15 percent.

So collectively, Maes and Tancredo pull in 49% to Hickenlooper’s 46%.  Given the circular firing squad that has been the Colorado Republican party in this gubernatorial race, it is shocking that Hickenlooper still can’t crack 50%.  It shows some serious weakness as a state-wide candidate.  If Maes were to drop out, Tancredo might actually have a chance.

I still don’t see it happening, though.  Even though he is polling at just 15%, the race for the governorship might be Maes’ best shot at securing steady work.
